Course Objectives:
The process fluid mechanics aims at specialized process equipment and control undergraduates, the teaching goal is to make students comprehensively familiar with the basic principle and work characteristics of fluid machinery, technical and economic indicators characterizing of production capacity. Students will learn how to initially use all fluid machinery and operate typical device.

Process Fluid Mechanics mainly refers to the working machine, including compressors and pumps to raise the pressure and transmit fluid, centrifuges for separation of fluid medium. The process fluid mechanics plays an important role as power and key equipment in the production process. It is a very important main professional course. The contents includes the classification and trends of process fluid machinery, reciprocating compressors and centrifugal compressor’s structure, principle, performance, control, model symbol and the selection, centrifugal pump’s principle, structure, operating characteristics, regulation and selection, Model symbol, centrifuges’ filter structure, principle and selection.

Understanding the basic knowledge of heat transfer, distillation and others, and establishing the mathematical models according to its mechanism.
Courses emphasizes on engineering, the combination of theory and practice, to train quantitative calculation and design ability, analysing and solving problems. It lays an important foundation for controlling the common process equpment of the industrial process.

Process Equipment Design
Course Objectives:
Process equipment design is core professional course for process equipment and control engineering. Students can master the basic theory of process equipment design and design method of pressure vessels, storage equipment, heat transfer equipment, tower and reaction equipment, and build up a solid basis for the graduation project and future work. To train the innovative ability and self-learning ability of students.
Course Content:
This course systematically lectures on the basic concepts, basic theory and design methods of process equipment. It’s contents include: stress analysis of pressure vessels, materials for pressure vessels and influence of envirorment and time on properties and these materials, pressure vessel design, the structure and design of commonly used process equipment.
Process Equipment Control Technology
Course Objectives:
This course provides the students control engineering knowledge. It organically combines process machinery, computer automatic testing, control with automation together, to train students to become compound talents with multi-disciplinary knowledge and skills.

Process equipment control technology is a required course of process equipment and control engineering. It includes: the basic concepts and configuration of control system, block diagram, classification and performance indicators of control system, contrlol basic knowledge for process equipment. Process detection technology and control devices, computer control systems and typical process control system applications.
Manufacture of Modern Process Equipment
Course Objectives:
Students of process equipment and control engineering learn to comprehensively analyse manufacturing process of dynamic and static equipment in chemical processes, to develop the technical rules taking into account the manufacturing requirements and processing conditions according to the device's function and accuracy. Gradually to solve various mechanical equipment manufacturing process problems.

Steel pressure vessel welding, structure and properties of welded joints, commonly used welding methods and welding process, commonly used steel welding, post-welding heat treatment. Preparations for manufacturing case under pressure, crossing and pretreatment of steel, bending and rolling form of tube, head molding and bending forming of tube. Classification and characteristics of shell and tube heat exchanger, high pressure vessel manufacturing technologies and processes. Concept and content of mechanical processing technology scheme, technology analysis of parts and blank selections, the choice of the workpiece locating datum, mechanical process planning, allowance and process size. geometric error, distortion by force and thermal deformation.
