Course Objectives:
Through this curriculum, students are required to understand the deformation rules of different kinds of damping and their applications in industrial production, to calculate the size dimension of various damping technology. This is the basis of the rational design of mold and planning the right technology.
Course Content:
Blanking deformation mechanism; clearance between punch and die, punching force calculation; layout methods. Bending phenomenon and its mechanism of sheet metal; the state analysis of stress and strain in bending; bending force and rough length calculation; determination the minimum bend radius; bending springback Calculation and measures to reduce the rebound. The deformation of cylindrical deep drawing process, process calculation; various drawing methods of non-cylindrical pieces; covering parts deep drawing and other drawing methods. Characteristics and the forming method of bulging; flanging process for hole and non-hole. Performance of the sheet metal stamping and forming limit; Test methods and indicator for stamping process; Theory of plastic tensile instability and its limit strain; the relationship between basic properties and forming properties of sheet metal.
Plastics Molding Technology
Course Objectives:
Through this course, students will (1) learn common methods of plastic molding, (2) understand the process of plastic molding and master relevant theory, controlling factors, process conditions and process characteristics,(3)understand the main requirements of the various methods for plastic molding materials, molding equipment and mold.
Course Content:
Rheological behavior, heating and cooling, crystallization, the role of orientation in the molding process of polymers; the composition and preparation of plastic materials; compression molding process and operation method, controlling factors of the molding; screw extrusion theory, extrusion process of some products; injection molding process and controlling factors, conditions analysis of injection molding process; characteristics of transfer molding and injection molding process for thermosetting plastic; blow molding process and controlling factors; calendar molding process and controlling factors.
Manufacturing Technology of Molds
Course Objectives:
Through this course, students will master the basic mold manufacturing expertise and process methods used,understand and master the advanced mold making technology, increase the analysis ability to process of mold structure, And improve the overall level of mold design. So that students have a strong ability in the mold manufacturing process technology and organizational ability to mold the law.
Course Content:
(1) The basic theory of mold machining: The preparation of mold manufacturing process planning, Manufacturing precision analysis, Machining surface quality; (2) Mold Machining: profile modeling, Coordinates machining, Form grinding; (3) Mold CNC machining; (4) EDM; (5) rapid prototyping and other new technologies; (6) Typical mold manufacturing process; (7) Typical mold assembly and commissioning; (8) Fixture design principles.
Die Design
Course Objectives:
This curriculum facilitates students to master the various types of cold dies, their structural characteristics and applications, to understand design principles and methods of cold dies; to improve their specialty level and solving technique skills in mold design. The curriculum is available for training students to become specialized technical personnel in mold design.
Course Content:
Single-die design process; progressive (continuous) Die design; compound die design; precision blanking die design; the structure design of main parts in banking. bending process design; determination structure parameters of work part in bending; typical structure of bending mold. Deep drawing die design: the structure of work part and process size calculation in bending; typical structure in drawing die; process design of deep drawing and other drawing methods. Common forming die design; structure of universal dies and compound die design; structure design of polyurethane rubber mold; structure design of low melting point alloy; structure design of zinc-based alloy die. Layout design of multi-position progressive die; the security measures of multi-position progressive die.
Plastics Molds
Course Objectives:
Through this course, students will (1) master the plastic mold design theory and methods, (2) be familiar with structure and characteristics of all kinds of plastic mold (3) have the ability to design molds with moderate complexity.

Technical parameters check of injection molding machine; injection mold casting system design; injection molding parts design and size calculation; the role and design of die guiding device; working mechanism and design of demoulding mechanism and side parting and core pulling; components of mold temperature control system; design of pipe extrusion forming die, die design of plate and sheet; structure design of compression molding; thermosetting plastics transfer molding and injection mold structure; blow mold; hot forming mould Design.
Molding Equipment
Course Objectives:
Through this course, students will learn the basic overview and process performance about various materials forming equipment, to master the working principle and main technical parameters and characteristics of the main molding equipment, For example, crank presses, injection molding, , hydraulic machines, plastic extrusion machines. to understand the application process and scope about commonly used molding equipments. And can correctly use and management of various types of forming equipment and organization of the main points of safety.
Course Content:
1. Crank press, this chapter focuses on crank press principles, structure and technical parameters; 2. Hydraulic machine, this chapter focuses on the hydraulic system principles for hydraulic machine,work characteristics, technical parameters; 3. Plastic extrusion equipment, this chapter focuses on the main structure of extruder; 4. Plastic injection molding, this chapter focuses on common clamping devices, plastic device structure and working principle of the hydraulic system; 5.
